Searchable processed inventory

Card Catalog connects each inventory record to the physical card.

Card Catalog is the viewer and management interface for trading card inventory processed by Unearthed Value.

It gives store staff a practical way to search card records, review supported card and value information, and see the physical locator used to retrieve a card from storage.

Search is only useful if it leads back to the shelf.

A card list can confirm that a record exists. A store workflow needs more: when a customer asks for the card, staff need a reliable way to reach the physical copy.

Card Catalog keeps the record and its physical locator together. Staff can search by useful inventory information, find the relevant record, and follow its location code. That connection is what lets a store use mapped storage without requiring every card to remain in alphabetical or set order.

What staff can see and do

  1. 01

    Search processed card records.

    Find inventory by card name and other supported details instead of opening boxes and scanning rows by eye.

  2. 02

    Review identifying information.

    See the card, set, and related record details captured during processing.

  3. 03

    Use reference value information.

    Review supported market-reference data while keeping in mind that reference values are not appraisals or guaranteed sale prices.

  4. 04

    Find the physical locator.

    Use the stored location code to move from a digital result to the correct physical card.

  5. 05

    Organize retrieval work.

    Build a pull-oriented workflow around the records the store has chosen to retrieve.

  6. 06

    Keep processed batches together.

    Future inventory processed by Unearthed Value can be added to the same store-oriented inventory view.

Designed around the store’s operating question

The essential question is not “Can software display a trading card?” It is “Can a staff member find the physical copy the store owns?” Card Catalog is oriented around that handoff from digital discovery to physical retrieval.

A store might search for a card requested by a customer, review cards that cross an internal attention threshold, or build a list of items to pull from several boxes. The location data gives each of those actions an operational endpoint.

The interface is also intended to preserve inventory visibility after the initial processing job. A one-time spreadsheet can quickly become detached from day-to-day use. Card Catalog provides a consistent place to browse the processed records and their mapped locations.

Included with Unearthed Value processing

Card Catalog is included for stores receiving inventory processing from Unearthed Value. The included Card Catalog has no recurring software subscription fee. The software supports the inventory that comes through the processing workflow; it is not presented as a standalone replacement for every system in the store.

Store inventory and commissioned inventory data remain under the store's control. Unearthed Value does not host the store's live inventory database, and Card Catalog is not intended to lock the store's data into Unearthed Value.

The processing step creates the records and establishes the locator relationship that makes Card Catalog useful. Learn how that works in the trading card inventory service, explore the focused Magic inventory service, or read about bulk card processing for accumulated backlogs.

An illustrative Card Catalog demo is available to show the intended inventory experience. Its sample records and values are examples, not customer data or performance claims.

Clear boundaries matter.

Card Catalog does not currently claim to be:

  • a point-of-sale system;
  • a public marketplace;
  • a grading or authentication service;
  • a promise that every processed card is commercially valuable; or
  • a guarantee that reference pricing can be realized in a sale.

It is a focused tool for seeing and managing processed inventory. The store remains responsible for its buying, pricing, listing, and sales decisions. Read the service disclosures for more detail about examples, market information, and service scope.
